Through challenging yet fun classes taught by Joffrey Academy's acclaimed faculty, adult dancers of all ages will develop technique, classical repertoire, strength, and flexibility.

Join us for our Adult Summer Intensive Program, designed for adult students ages 18+ who are at an Advanced Beginning or Intermediate level. Dancers will develop technique, classical repertoire, strength, and flexibility through challenging yet fun classes taught by Joffrey Academy's acclaimed faculty. Classes will be held in the beautiful studios of Joffrey Tower, located in the heart of downtown Chicago.

What to expect: daily classes include ballet, repertoire, jazz, and modern plus a rotating class (stretch/Q&A, West African, yoga, or Pilates); a one-hour lunch break

What to wear: leotard and tights or tight-fitting athletic clothes with ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or black socks; hair should be pulled up off the shoulders

What to bring: water bottle, yoga mat, and optional Theraband and/or foam roller

Tuition Policy: the Joffrey Academy of Dance does not offer any tuition refunds for missed classes, withdrawal, or dismissal from a program. No credits will be given for missed classes due to injury or illness.

What are options for staying in the Chicago area?

There are many extended stay hotels in the Chicagoland area. Most suburbs are also accessible by train or shuttle into the city. Please consult Chicago area transit system maps (transitchicago.com for Chicago Transit Authority, or metrarail.com for Metra Train). Discounted parking validation will also be available at Joffrey Tower for the final presentation. Family and friends are free to find accommodations wherever they choose.
