Director of Major Gifts

The Joffrey Ballet seeks a full-time Director of Major Gifts to be responsible for developing donors and soliciting gifts of $25,000 and higher to meet an annual goal exceeding $3 million as well as fundraising for capital and special campaigns. This individual works collaboratively with and in support of the President and CEO, The Mary B. Galvin Artistic Director, and leadership volunteers. The Director of Major Gifts manages a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing support for the Joffrey’s top priorities, including productions, scholarship, community engagement, endowment and special campaigns. Working collaboratively with the Advancement team, the Director of Major Gifts establishes and oversees processes that facilitate continuous identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a growing pipeline of planned and major gifts.

Patron Services Associates

The Joffrey Ballet is seeking part-time Patron Services Associates to be responsible for handling all customer service and duties that relate to the Joffrey’s subscribers and box office. This position works closely with the other members of the marketing department.

Community Engagement Teaching Artists

The Joffrey Ballet is seeking Teaching Artists to join our Community Engagement team. Community Engagement Teaching Artists (TAs) are independent contractors who teach exceptional arts education classes for Chicago Public Schools through in-school programming in multiple styles of dance including African, ballet, hip hop, jazz, and Latin. TAs offer highly structured dance experiences, encouraging students to develop technique, creativity, and life skills. Programs often last the full school year, though shorter residencies occur.

Marketing Intern

The Joffrey Ballet seeks a Marketing Intern to join our Advancement team for the next 3 months. Reporting to the Marketing Director of the Advancement team, the Marketing Intern assists in the management of marketing operations and supports marketing campaign planning and execution.
