Biography

Stefan Gonçalvez began his dance journey at the age of ten, training at Clube Paineiras and Raça Centro de Dança in São Paulo, Brazil. At thirteen, he decided to focus his studies on ballet and contemporary dance at Pavilhão D Centro de Artes. In 2010, he earned a scholarship to the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida, where he trained until 2014 and was honored with the Rudolf Nureyev Fellowship Award in 2012.

After graduating, Gonçalvez received the Rory Schwartz Fellowship and Estelle Dennis Scholarship awards to further his studies at The Washington School of Ballet under the direction of Kee Juan Han. While there, he competed at the Youth America Grand Prix, winning the Youth America Grand Prix Award. Following this achievement, he joined The Joffrey Ballet, where he has continued to develop his artistry and perform in numerous productions.
