Nae Kojima
Company Artist with the Joffrey since 2022; alum of the Joffrey Academy of Dance
Biography
Nae Kojima is from the Gold Coast, Australia and began dancing at the age of five at Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy. At age 16, she moved to the U.S to attend the Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington D.C. for two years before joining The Joffrey Ballet Studio Company in 2019. During her time in the Joffrey Ballet Academy, she performed Fascinatin’ Rhythm from George Balanchine’s Who Cares?, works by Lar Lubovitch and was also selected to perform in the main company’s Nutcracker by Christopher Wheeldon. In 2021, Kojima returned to Australia and performed as a guest artist with the Projection Dance Company, where she toured to many cities across regional Victoria. She moved back to the U.S later that year to take up her position with Atlanta Ballet’s second company.
Kojima joined The Joffrey Ballet as a company artist in 2022 and is thrilled to be back in Chicago
