Biography
Lucia Connolly was born in Los Angeles, California and began her training with Westside School of Ballet under the direction of Yvonne Mounsey. In 2014 she joined The School of American Ballet and upon graduating in 2016, she joined the Joffrey Ballet.
Since joining the Joffrey Ballet, Ms. Connolly has originated roles in Christopher Wheeldon’s The Nutcracker, John Neumier’s Orphee and Euridice, Alexander Ekman’s Joy, Cathy Marston’s Of Mice and Men, Yuri Possokov’s Anna Karenina, Nicolas Blanc’s Beyond the Shore, Chanel Dasilva’s Colorem, and the lead in Stina Quagebeur's Hungry Ghosts. She has also performed works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Justin Peck, Liam Scarlett, Gerald Arpino, Yoshi Arai, and others. Additionally, she has spent four seasons dancing with Barack Ballet, originating roles in works by Melissa Barak and Nicolas Blanc.
