Kristen McGarrity

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Kristen trained at The Royal Ballet School before joining Birmingham Royal Ballet, dancing most of the company’s soloist repertoire throughout her years there.

After an injury, she took time out from performing and achieved her psychology degree and RBS teaching diploma before returning to the stage as Lise Dassin in Christopher Wheeldon’s 'An American in Paris’ in London's West End , followed by tours in Asia and Paris.

Whilst continuing to perform in a freelance capacity, Kristen became an assistant choreographer, coach and stager, working predominantly with Liam Scarlett, with companies including The Royal Ballet, Bayerisches Staatsballett, Royal New Zealand Ballet, Scottish Ballet and of course, The Joffrey Ballet! Kristen has also worked in the music industry as a recording artist, singer songwriter and musician, and film industry as an assistant choreographer and stunt double.
