Pointe Work

Classes on pointe may be permitted for intermediate and advanced Adult Division students only at the discretion of the faculty and Academy Artistic Team. Pointe work will not be permitted at beginning ballet levels.

Unless marked as an Enrollment Class Series, all Adult Division classes are drop-in classes, or "pay as you go". Students may begin at any time during the year. An Enrollment Class Series requires attendance across multiple weeks. In addition to drop-in and enrollment-based classes, the Adult Division offers seasonal Adult Intensives which provide students the opportunity to attend multiple classes across several days in an intensive-style experience. Adult Intensives may include the opportunity to improve technique, try different styles of dance, learn repertoire to perform, and more. Information regarding Adult Intensives can be found on this page when available.

Enrollment Class Series are not drop-in classes. They require attendance across multiple weeks during the session and instructor permission to join. They are not available for online pre-registration due to required instructor permission. Students interested in joining an Enrollment Class Series should express interest to Reception and their instructor. Once approved, students may register through Reception and join the following week. Enrollment Class Series cannot be prorated if the student registers after the first week of classes.
