The Summer Session class schedule is coming soon.

Register for a Virtual Class

Our virtual adult classes are designed to do at home. All you need is a little floor space, a makeshift barre, and an electronic device that can connect to an online video conference platform.

Class Offerings and Descriptions

From beginner to advanced to everything in between. The Joffrey has something for everyone.

Online Class Tips: How to Prepare for Class

  • Find a quiet place away from distraction.
  • Approach class as you would in the studio.
  • Wear proper attire, such as athletic clothing with hair pulled up. For your safety, pointe shoes should not be worn.
  • Students will be admitted into the class from a ‘waiting room’ on Zoom. Please be on time and include your full name on your profile so the instructor can identify you.
  • Enable your camera and microphone, though leave the microphone on mute during class. Enabling the camera is for your safety—it allows the teacher to monitor you and give corrections.
  • If possible, cameras should be set up to allow the instructor to view you from head to toe.
  • Please don’t record or take photos of the class. This is in respect to the instructors’ and students’ privacy.
  • Make sure your space is clear of items and not slippery. You may want to stand on a yoga mat so as not to slide.
  • For a barre, use anything stable that you can hold onto—a sturdy chair, railing, couch, countertop, etc.
  • Don’t forget your charger!
  • Prioritize patience—glitches may happen, so we appreciate your understanding in advance. We’re all in this together!

Adult Division Recommended Attire

In general, close-fitting clothing that allows the dancer to feel comfortable and allows for proper instruction is recommended. Dance attire is not required. No costumes or tutus, please. Students should wear ballet flats for ballet classes, however, socks are permitted for basic classes. Pointe shoes are not permitted in virtual classes.
