Creative Movement A
3 YEARS OLD | 45 MINUTES
Students are introduced to concepts of musical phrasing, placement of the body, dynamics, and coordination. Students will learn how to stand up straight before and after an exercise, where they are in space, and to lean into their creativity with improvisation and themed movement.
Creative Movement B

Students build on concepts in Creative Movement A. As per their age and development, they have a stronger understanding of musical phrasing and can create more specific shapes with their bodies whilst exploring improvisation themes more deeply. Here they will continue their dynamic development by playing with music and movement through structured exercises and themed improvisation.
Pre-Ballet A
5 YEARS OLD | 1 HOUR
Students are introduced formally to ballet vocabulary and a more traditional structure of class with warm-up, progression of exercises in the center, and jumping. Dancing to a phrase of music is developed whilst building the groundwork of dancing in defined shapes and spaces in the studio. Use of imagery and improvisation are still incorporated to enhance learning and artistry.
Pre-Ballet B
6 YEARS OLD | 1 HOUR
Students continue to develop their basic vocabulary, understanding the phrasing of music throughout an exercise, and employing a greater understanding of the shapes they are trying to create.
Pre-Ballet C
7 YEARS OLD | 1 HOUR
Students will strengthen and consolidate the concepts from Pre-Ballet A and B. They will have a clear understanding of the shapes they are trying to make and continue to learn how the music affects movement through tempo and dynamics. Here they will build the foundation to take them into Ballet IA.
Ballet IA
8 YEARS OLD | 2 DAYS A WEEK
Students are formally introduced to the ballet barre and how to interact, stand, and work with the barre. The class structure now follows the classical ballet class format with warm-up, barre, center, and jumping in that order. Ballet IIA
BY PLACEMENT ONLY | 3 DAYS A WEEK
Students in this level are introduced to other dance methods such as character or West African (subject to schedule and change). Focusing on the balletic complications of port de bras and use of the head in a formalized fashion, students start to build more artistry to their technique. A high work ethic is expected at this level, as the students begin to dedicate more time in the studio to learning their technique through one (1) hour and thirty (30) minute classes. Traditional boys' and girls' steps continue to be developed.
Ballet IIB
BY PLACEMENT ONLY | 4 DAYS A WEEK
Students in this level are committed to four (4) days a week and are aware of basic positions and coordination introduced in the previous levels.
