Ballet Teaching Artist.
Richard Grund’s performing career includes principal and soloist roles in over forty ballets in the Dayton Ballet repertoire, and tours throughout the U.S. and Canada. Other international credits include dancing by invitation with the Finnish National Ballet, and performing a residency in Cuba commissioned through the Harkness Foundation. Richard’s production credits include répétiteur, rehearsal and documentation work for Septime Webre’s Romeo and Juliet, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and Carmen ballets, staged on the Dayton Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Colorado Ballet, and Cincinnati Ballet companies. Richard’s research in ballet teaching practices awarded him the M.A. degree in Education from the Royal Academy of Dance and he is an ABT® Certified Teacher in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
