Summer Intensives and Trainee Auditions

General Audition Information

Admission into the International and Junior Summer Dance Intensives, Dance Lab, and Trainee Program is by audition only. Summer Intensive auditions are open to all students ages 9 to 21+. Students also may be considered for our year-round Pre-Professional Division.

Audition Requirements

• Students should audition with their current age group, regardless of how old they will be during the summer.
• Students age 7 by June 1 will be considered for Junior Summer Dance Intensive and must audition with the 8 year old group.
• Ages 9 to 11+ will be considered for the Junior Summer Dance Intensive.
• Ages 12 to 21+ will be considered for both International Summer Dance Intensive and Dance Lab Programs.
• Ages 17 to 21+ will be considered for the Trainee Program if the box on the Audition form is checked.
• A formal headshot with ballet hairstyle is required and must be stapled to the back of the audition form. Headshots will not be returned. Ages 12+ are required to bring both a headshot and a body shot in first arabesque.

Required attire for girls:

• pink tights
• black leotard
• ballet slippers
• Girls age 12 and older who are already working en pointe must bring their pointe shoes in addition to ballet slippers

Required attire for boys:

• white t-shirt
• full-length black tights
• black ballet slippers

Registration Information

• Pre-registration online ($30.00) is strongly recommended but not required. Click here to pre-register.  Those who pre-register online will need to print their audition form and bring it to the audition.

• Day-of registration ($35.00): Students may register on-site with cash or money order only. Registration on-site will begin one hour prior to your audition time.
